I would imagine it has something to do with not being able to place Detail Markers in a detail window. I've created a "Dummy Marker" for this purpose (actually an Object, not a Marker).

<T>Catchy title, eh?

Actually, I have gotten to like the New Independant Detail window in AC10 as a place to keep 2D drawing data, notes, etc. Instead of a separate story as in the old days.

Anyway, taking a live 3D elevation that you want to break for illustration purposes, marquee it, copy, paste direectly into New Independant Detail window - poof! the detail markers are gone.

Work-around, copy it into the original elevation window, now the details stay in place, but they don't explode. Now you need to select them individually and then explode before a copy to the Independant Detail.

Feature? Bug?</T>
