<T>once you trim a wall to a roof, do you have to replace the wall with a new one if you change the roof and need it trimmed again?
I notice that I cannot re-extend a wall in order to trim it once I have allready done so.</T>

if you choose the wall that you have cut it with a roof and open the settings dialog box ,in the model tab you can see 2 buttons at the lower right side
One is to undo the trim from the roof
I hope that this is what you are looking for

Remember that if you had the set wall height to highest point when you
did the roof trim and now your roof is higher you will have to
make the wall higher before you re-trim.
note that if you lower the height of the pivot line or lower the slope of the roof , you dont need to undo the trim. you can retrim the wall.

If you use element subtraction "upward" on your walls, it will adjust to the roof height change, w/o having to do anything. it takes a little more time and thought. It works well if you perceive a project is going to change during the design process, it's worth the investment of your time, otherwise trim to roof.
