You could put that wall on a layer that is off in plan but on in 3D views, elevations etc.

<T>Hello -

I have two areas I need a bit of help on. I have attached a image to simplify my thoughts.

ArchiCAD 9.0

1) How do I get the "pivot" lines to not plot in plot maker. The lines that show where the roof pitch is based.

2) The attached image shows a beam above the porch. How do I get a wood frame wall with a rock face to be modeled on top of the beam. This rock of this gable wall will extend to the bottom of the roof above and rest on the lower roof to the left. I have tried numerous things but none have given me the desired effect.

Any and all help is greatly appreciated.

Best Regards - Chris</T>

Roof pivot lines do not plot.
If I am understanding correctly, you can select the wall in question and the lower roof, go to 3D window, trim to roof (trim base), go back to plan view, select wall and upper roof, go to 3D window, trim to roof (trim top). Wall should now be trimmed to both roofs.
Stuart - Thanks for the replys.

I did not make myself very clear in the second question. The wall that needs to be trimmed will have a base that sets on the top of the beam shown. I drew a wall on top of the beam and followed your directions and voila! it worked. But, the wall shows on the plan, which it should not because it is about 11+ feet in the air. Should this wall be placed on a "story above" or is there something that I am missing?

Thanks again for the info.

Best regards - Chris

One can also think of stories as of plans.

So, whatever should be seen on a plan (in your case, the wall should be on the roof plan really) should be on the same storey as the roof.

And, BTW - the whole operation is MUCH easier performed solely in the 3D window, when you fat marquee the relevant elements so that you work only on them.
