topic Level dimension tool in Modeling

<T>Dear all,

In Ac 9.0 when I am using the Level Dimension tool on Floor Plans with the Slab Gravity turned on and clicking on a slab which is at the first floor the value its displaying is from the Base reference in mycase it is 0.

Instead I want that to be displayed with reference to the current story height only i.e. instead of 13'-6" lets say I would love to display that as 1'-6". I tried to change the elevation origin to current story but it's not working in my case. What's the setting I need to change.

Thanks in Advance.

regards,
It's not possible AFAIK. You can select just the dimension text after the dimension has been placed and access the settings via the info box, but you can only reference it to Poject zero or either of the reference planes. Oddly this cannot be done before we place it, and we can't refer it to the any story. Probably a rare case to refer in such a way, but it should be available at least for consistency. Maybe a wish is needed?

Cheers form Bahrain,
