      <description>&lt;DIV class="actalk-migrated-content"&gt;&lt;T&gt;In AutoCAD, when you create a Pline, you can have it give you the total length of the line.  Is there something similar to this in ArchiCAD 9?  I mean, yeah, I can add the segments together, but trying to figure out a bunch of egress distances would be a lot easier if there was something like this.&lt;BR /&gt;

Doesn't the Element Information palette display what you want?   (See screenshot.)&lt;BR /&gt;

I have it mapped to a shortcut key for ready-access (since it doesn't dock).&lt;BR /&gt;

Good point about the measure tool, since it now allows multiple clicks and summing!&lt;BR /&gt;
&lt;BR /&gt;
But, plines still have their place if there are lots of exit paths (on their own layer) to keep track of and the project is either in flux so paths might be edited, or if you need a legal record of the paths.&lt;BR /&gt;
