I forgot to update the signature. I am on 10.4.8. I use to run multiple session without incidence. I take it you have updated to the latest archicad as well - release 1010?

<T>I have been having a problem lately that every-time I try to launch a new session of Archicad while keeping the old one open, archicad crashes. It is only the new session that crashes and the one that was already open is fine. I have even tried the old (Mac) method of duplicating the application, but get the same result. Has anyone else been having this problem? Any suggestions as to what might be causing this? I have not tried a re-instal and perhaps that is my only choice. Thanks for any insight into this problem.</T>

Looking at your signature Mike, shows you're on X.4.6. You might try updating.
I've been running multiple sessions of late with no problem.

Mike, things must be getting to you
Yes, my signature shows that.

I updated as soon as it was released.

Seriously though, cannot think what could be the cause.
I'd hoped that other Mac gurus may have sounded in.
I've had up to 3 running without problems.

What is Repairing Premissions meant to help? With 50 Macs for 4 years, I've never needed that for anything.

Repair Disk Permissions. I' don't know if it will help in your case... but it did solve a similar problem I had with a Quickbooks file.

(I'm easly confused by 10 letter words that begin with a P , an R and an E).
