Hole in wall

This is probably very easy to do, so pardon my ignorance.

I have an existing building w/ a new addition. Existing windows (1'-0" to 10'-0") are being removed and a handrail placed inside the existing opening. I cannot get the handrail to show in 3D. I have tried changing the window to an empty window and changing it to a rectangular opening w/o luck.

please help!

And depending on the element, have you got its 3D view enabled?

The top of the handrail is located @ 30" AFF.

I created the handrail using the beam tool, but i am not married to this way, I just find it the easiest method to create and edit as req'd.

OK, I changed the priority of the beam and it has appeared.
