<T>I can set home story for wall or object but not for a door or a window. I can put a chair on 1. floor and assign 10th floor to it. Also, if a wall goes through two storys I can decide which is his Home story. But for door in that wall only its phisical location determines home story. For example, a bathroom door is 2 cm below 2 story level and in shedules it is listed in the 1 story, but wall is in 2 story. At least, I would expect that story of the door is determined by his wall.

Or am I missing some parameter?</T>

Check the door's anchor. The door's sill should be referenced to the 2nd story, not the first.

"Sill to story 2"

That doesn't help. I have set Anchor Sill to 2. story but schedule still displays that door is on 1. floor. The wall is correctly on 2nd floor. As soon as Sill has negative number, it puts the door on a story below.

Luka,
You are right, when the insertion is a minus number, it puts the door on the lower story.

Why it the top of the 2nd floor slab, and so also the door, below the second story?

Dont mind tha picture. This is just an example I made in few minutes to demostrate the problem.

Thank you Erica for verifying that I am not doing anything wrong.

The AC shows the right position regarding your defintion of floor level.
You have to do just one thing.

Correct the level of 2 story (+6,13 or lower). ctrl +7
For example the floor level for AC would be the structure level.
But be careful. It changes every construcktion parts depending on the level.
You can correct in any time the thickness of concrete slab very simply without changing the level.
In this case you must have separated layer for the floor finishing.

When it comes to windows and doors, it's all about the anchor. Whatever story the anchor virtually resides in dictates what will be listed. Change your door to anchor by the header and you'll be fine. Other elements are based on the home story.

Cheers,
I now have the same problem many, many years later in AC23. Setting the anchor (Sill or Head) to the desired Story doesn't work.
Surely there is a way to force this - it's killing my schedule!!!!

I've found a solution. My door is positioned in a wall with base -1670mm below its Home Story (Story 0).
The wall does not display across multiple story (ie. show on Home Story only)
Simply setting the anchor to Story 0 has no effect. The door persistently shows up as being on Story -1
The only way I could get the door to show on the correct story was to set the wall to <S></S>Symbolic cut<E></E>
Now the door shows as being on Story 0.

Disappointingly these solutions do not seem to be working in AC25. I cannot relink an anchor story away from a story I want to delete from the project. So after deleting the story and losing any elements on it I have to replace the windows.
