While you're at it, try right clicking on the fill and bringing it to the front of the display order. Bit of a longshot - may be a video card thing.

<R>my first post

guys, this place looks fantastic if you got problems with ArchiCAD. and i've got one just now...

attached is a pic of an elevation with vectorial hatching turned on.

inside the red circle marker, a wall where there is no fill above it, nor is that a colour of a shadow (vectorial shadows are off, since it slows elevations down, but i will try it on smaller projects). i've tried to refresh/rebuild the elevation, but to no avail. it only seems to disappear by chance (which seems inconceivable since this is an electronic program). that is just simply a wall with a specific material assigned to it to show it in vectorial hatching.

i was just wondering if there was an easier way to get rid of this problem (i usually restart it and most of the time it disappears).

thanks heaps!</R>

Does it display properly in 3D?

Does it do the same thing in another section (and/or a copy of the troublesome one)?

the vectorial hatching is from a 2D fill. it doesnt have an attached photo texture for it. so the dots don't turn up in the 3D view.

and i've tried to copy the section/elevation line seeing the same view, and the pic attached below is the result.

i've inspected the wall itself; there is no other wall that i elapses or elapses it (knowing overlaying walls somewhat screw up 3D and elevation/section views). i tried to move the wall into another section/elevation view, seeing the same face, and it works. so i dont think the problem is with the wall. its probably the section/elevation line. i'll try to create another view (or copy an already existing view that works) and see if it works, but that's left for tomorrow because its 5pm and my muscles hurt like hell

thanks for the reply again!

Turn on the vectorial hatching in the 3D window settings and switch to hidden line view (internal engine). (Unless you mean that the pattern is a 2D fill manually drawn in the elevation; in which case you just need to "Bring to Front" and be done with it.)

Are those walls curved? I've seen 3D hatches in elevations get wonky on curved surfaces sometimes.
