disabling sounds - how?

i have a really stupid question:
how do i disable sound in archiCAD 9?
ex. when i'm using alt to pick up settings of an item in a project...
i searched help over and over again, but with no results...

I think you'll need some plist exercise. Somebody should know. In AC10, it's a simple workspace preference toggle.

If you are on Windows, go to Control Panel > Sounds and Audio devices and edit in the list on the sounds tab. You can alter or turn them off (under the sounds pulldown, select (none) ).
