General Stairmaker Error!

<R>Occurs with ArchiCAD 9 and 10 when saving a custom stair object (working with the standard ArchiCAD library)

It takes 2 to 3 times to save the object before it can be used in a project.
Afterwards, we sometimes fail to make modifications.
In certain cases we cannot generate an object at all !?!

Check status = OK

Several architects we now have a similar problem.</R>

Djorde,

I'm sorry but I can't agree with you.

Is it wrong to assume/ask that every part shipped with ArchiCAD should work?
With ArchiCAD 10 we are able to have the best 3D models on the market, but the program is failing on basics stairs???

I just want to figure out what's wrong : we've been using stairmaker in 6.5 without any problem!

I've seen Archistair working and I know the benefits. Of course I'm willing to pay more for nicer stairs and better options, but this is not the issue!

check the file permissions on your installation folder. If Stairmaker's folder is RO, that's the error you get.

Who says I agree with the state StairMaker is in? I have been using it since 4.55 if I am not wrong. Yes, all parts should work and no parts should be stuck in mezzozoic era ... you know, tar pits etc.

It is my frustration with StairMaker that prompted the answer.
