i need a hand here please... i would like to insert a selected profile on this view by clicking at the edges of the archs and walls</T>

The easiest way I have found to do is to trace around the walls & curved sections that you want the profile with 2D lines and curves as appropriate and then select the profile shape as you would do normally using a corner selection and magic wand the lines & curves.

Double curve?

I would try GDL Toolbox and ArchiForma first ... although don't think it will work.

Then, heavy artillery ... MaxonForm.

Unfortunately this is one of the most obvious limitations of Archicad.
Not beeing a full 3D program.

Imagine how easy it is to do this with sketchup and follow me tool.

Generally. Although archicad is good in creating usuall architecture stuff, it is very stif when you try to add decorations and final touches to the model.

There its the worst program you can use.

And my opinion is (if that matters) that architecture is not only on defining volumes and spaces but also those details. From railings to mouldings to basic sculpting.

thanku guys, i feel better now, it is not just me....

it is a double curve, i tried archiforma, i didnt try gdl tool box yet, but i will.....my way of doing in it would have been:
for the wall i would use the accessories and only the bottom trim (the bottom trim doesnt follow the shape of the arch unfortunally), then for the arch i would insert a window or a door and make the trim around the door to match the accessory trim of the wall and make transparent the rest of the window or door elements BUT window or door trims dont show on curved walls, only on straigth walls....i just posted another question question about arch doors and curved walls..curved walls are a pain!!

i tried GDL Toolbox and AC crushed....i will look for a lib part that creates an opening with the option of placing a trim, AC is very good at it why not going that route, instead of modeling which is AC weekness. thx again
