I'm having a problem with opening and saving a particular drawing in Acad 10.

My work colleague has finished working on this particular area of the dwg and when I try to access the drawing its saying the drawing cannot be opened for writing as:

- another user is reading it (no one has it open)
- a publishing process is accessing it
- a system level permision problem is preventing file access.

So it only opens in a read-only not allowing me to save.

Is it on a network? If so, is it possible that you do not have write-access to his files?

Cheers Tom.

Found it under ownership and permissions in the more info section right clicking the drawing. Changed the group access to read & write on his computer which he had it set up and this allowed me to open it.
