Wendy,
I just checked the version of Profiler I have.
It is Profiler 9.0.0 v1 US according to the Mac "Get Info" function.
My AC 9 is AC 9.0.0 v1 (8306/2045) which, I think, is the
latest version. So I am unsure where you got "Profiler v9r2",
also the exact name "Profiler v9r2" is not the same syntax
as mine . I don't know if you should over right your v1 with r2 of not.
I would probably put my v1 in a safe place and see what this r2 can do.

"Graphisoft is releasing 5 new tools to help ArchiCAD users model and document more quickly... 3D Profiler with Profile Manager - $99.00"

-but i'm looking the old profiler, which was never $99!

The profiler I used on AC8 will not work on AC9, it seems.
My copy of AC 9 has the old Profiler in the goodies folder inside
the AC 9 folder.
Try using the add-on manager to navigate to that folder
and add profiler to your active add-ons.
Peter, I can't find Profiler *anywhere* in AC9. Are you saying you moved the one from 8 or 8.1 into that folder? Does it work?

I'm so confused with the announcement of a so-called "new" Profiler that they're now selling separately? What's going on here?
I did not move the AC 8.1 profiler into AC 9. I don't think it would work.
I have the AC 9 profiler in the Extras folder and must have moved it
there from the Goodies folder. I can't imagine why you cannot find it
in your copy of AC 9 . I just did a "find" on my Mac hard drive and I found
all three profilers. AC 6.5, AC 8.1 and AC 9. Profilers were where
they were supposed to be.
Ah, OK, a system-wide search turned it up in the Tools folder, just an isolated file, as opposed to an entire folder under Goodies as in V8. Thanks.

I also see I've got "Profiler v9r2.zip" in a download folder, dated 4/1/05. What's that? Should I unzip it over what's currently in v9's directory tree?
I believe the Profiler v9r2 is the 3D profiler for 99$ from Cadimage in NZ. I'm not at the office computer so I can't tell you for sure. I just bought a copy about a week ago. Same principles as standard profiler, but will angle in the z direction, and will combine multiple profiles of different materials. Have not used it much yet, but plan to on next home with gables and trim.
I wonder how you got it in the download file? A freebie from your reseller, perhaps?

I forgot all about this thread and just found it again while I was perusing the Cadimage site looking for information on it, and something triggered in the back of my mind. Long story short, apparently I bought it earlier this year from my reseller, along with the accessory pack and I don't know what else, and completely forgot about it and never got any of them installed since I wasn't using AC at that point.
