topic Contour Line type in Elevation and 3d in Modeling

<T>Is there a way to make a wall's or slab's (uncut) contours appear as a different line type (NOT line weight) when it is modeled in the section/elevation view or 3d?

Previously, i'd always have to copy the elevation model, then paste it to create a line drawing and edit the line types that way, but negating any rebuilding ability. For example, when i show objects below grade in my elevation views, i'd like to have the contours of the sub-grade footings in dashed lines.

Even if this isn't possible with regular walls, slabs, etc...can it be done with the profile tool?

Thanks.
Modeled elements can only ever be solid lines (ever see a dashed line in the real world?)

The workaround is to put a line fill with a non-plotting pen over top of the element,s creating a dashed effect when plotted.

Scott,
There is only one line type in 3D and that is sollid.
Please see this thread on ways to accomplish what you want.
G'day boys/ladies...

Does anyone know of a work around of the same effect but with using the '<S></S>new'<E></E> feature in A10 with <S></S>coloured<E></E> elevations?

I guess you'd have to pick the exact colour to match each part induvidually....or..??

Place white dashed lines over all the solid lines you want to appear as dashed.
Much more tedious than the fill solution.
