can anyone explain why i may have lost my .3ds import and export options. Have tried trashing and replacing but not sure what else to try.&lt;BR /&gt;

Import is via an add-on that must be downloaded from the Goodies web site.  If you have it in your add-ons folder, it is also possible that the version you have is out of date.  Download from Goodies again, or check Add On Manager and look at the status for 3DS import.&lt;BR /&gt;
&lt;BR /&gt;
Export is only from the 3D window via File &amp;gt; Save As.... and is included in the base product.&lt;BR /&gt;
