Help w/ Detailer

When I use the Detailer Tool and draw my box around the item, then click the hammer cursor where I want my symbol/ marker..the two are not connected by a leader line and I cannot seem to drag the leader line over to the dashed frame....

What am I doing wrong.
(don't ask my wife that...she'll go on and on).

The hammer is asking where you want the bubble's extension line to connect to the box, not where you want the bubble.

You should be able to move the leader line to wherever you want after you place the detail marker. While in the detail tool select the detail and when the detail is selected click on the end of the reference line and drag it to a new location.

To expand on this: (depending on the marker) the end of the leader line has a solid round hotspot (red in my prefs) while there are other diamond shaped hotspots (green in my prefs) along it for editable spots.

The editing of this marker is IMHO inconsistent, since the end, solid, hotspot is moved with one pet palette setting (dot with 4 arrows, top row) ... and of course the editable hotspots (to stretch the leader, rotate, etc) are edited with the 'stretch' pet palette mode (right-most bottom row).
