      <description>&lt;DIV class="actalk-migrated-content"&gt;&lt;R&gt;Hi. I need to model a bent column and something that looks like a spiral. I have no idea what tool to use ( i need a column with round section ).&lt;BR /&gt;

      <description>Oh thank you, i forgot to look there. Is there other way to do it? just wondering ... because i can't control objects ( elbow11) dimensions ... i think so</description>

Not sure if you want to exclude the use of add-ons from your search, but this is easy to do with &lt;A href="http://www.encina.co.uk/objective.html" target="_blank"&gt;OBJECTiVE&lt;/A&gt;. In the attached image, you can:&lt;UL&gt;&lt;LI&gt;1) Place a curved profile in section at whatever start/end position you require&lt;BR /&gt;
2) Use the Bend tool to bend it to the curve&lt;BR /&gt;
3) The finished curved (round) beam&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;/UL&gt;The same object can also have one end offset to it also rises around the curve, enabling a spiral to be easily constructed (see 4). All the parameters, e.g. radius of the curve, diameter of the profile, rise, etc can all be accurately specified.</description>
