Olivier Dentan has made an object that will serve your
purpose and he has posted it here.
The path can be made circular and the profile can be set to rectangular.

<T>How to draw a curved baseboard on a circular wall & have that base ascend??

I'm tring to draw a stair skirt/baseboard..i.e the trim that hugs the wall between the stair tread and the wall (See pic)

It's a circular wall and the stairs are going upward.

So I need to create a trim object that will hug the wall and ascend at the same time while keeping it's overall height consistent of about 12" tall.

The object will be a function of the rise of the stairs and the diameter of the circular stairs which are easy to to determine, I just can't figure out how to make the object..it kind of like a helix.

Anyone else tried to do this? Any success? If so, how do I pull this off?

As always, thank you</T>
