I believe the command you are looking for is "Explode"

If you explode the accessory in plan view, it will keep the 2D elements but delete the 3D ones.

the roof tool is really very simple but it took a while to figure out on my own. (I haad a bad teacher.)

select the roof tool and go to the properties. set the properties the way you would like them and then say ok. it is set up to layout the place of the high point of the roof first so draw the first line where the roof slab is the highest. you will click at the end of the line and a hammer will pop up as the cursor. click that hammer on the side of the line you drew that is not in the roof plane. you will then bagin to draw the roof shape and it will give you what you want. if this doesn't help you can pm me and i will be happy to explain more.

OUCH!!!!

The first "line" you draw is the roof reference line, that the height of the roof from the current storey is defined with. So it is the LOWEST point of the roof ...

The eye cursor then shows the slope up.

Then the creation of the horizontal projection of the roof polygon, depending on the geometry method.
