Go: File>> Open
In the lower left corner of the "open file" window.. you should see a button "Launch a new instance of Archicad". Click it or it will close the file your in (it'll prompt you if you haven't saved).

"Project Chooser" (top left corner of Navigator) is one way to switch between active/inactive files.

Everytime I want to open a new drawing it only allows me to have one path open in ArchiCAD. I have tried to open Archicad numerous times but i will have to save my work first and so opening the second drawing path.
I have worked on ArchiCAD 9 for a year and have no problems with this but we changed computer types to the Mac Os and i just can't even have 2 ArchiCads opened at any one time. Can you remedy this?
