REMOVE BRICK ONLY IN BRICK VENEER COMPOSITE WALL

<T>I have a composite brick veneer wall that consists of typical wall construction; gyp board, stud wall, plywood, air space, and brick veneer. I would like to remove part of the brick veneer only. I need to cut a hole in the veneer to put a couple of shutters against the plywood portion of the wall. They would be surrounded by brick mold. In effect, it would look like the shutters are closed over a window, except there is no window inside.
It also has to look correct inside; no empty window cutting through the whole wall. If there was some way to set up the empty window so it would only cut through the brick portion, that would be perfect.
I've done it in the past with two adjacent walls, one framing, one brick, and that worked fine. This time I thought I'd save some time and use a composite, but did not think about this issue, and have too much wall to change it all now.</T>

Maybe use a wall sized as per the opening, as thick as the brick veneer, SEO subtract from the composite. If layers and layer intersections are set up right you could have the wall (SEO operator) dashed in plan (and brought to front in display order) to show brick removed, or similar, depending on what you want displayed where. Elevation could have SEO wall turned off to show the hole.

Removed the wall segment with a slab SEO. Looked for the niche in the library, search by keyword. Not there. I know it was there in V10. Maybe it's called something different now.

it's one of the special windows or openings (I don't have AC running now) Look for it with the window tool.
