make sure your slab is at a correct height, ... the layer is on in 3D view, ... it's not set to wired view. etc. etc.

<T>hello

i have problems with actually seeing my floor slab in my project 3d view!

i can see it in plan view, but when i am not in orbit mode 3d view, my slab is not visible! i created this floor slab after help from the ac10 guide movie.

something about screencard or library file access?
i am running archicad 10 edu-version on a hp dv9000 with 2gb ram and a nvidia geforce 7600 screencard.

please help?
yours,</T>

There is a chance your camera (for 3D views) is facing away from the object yo wish to view.

You could either:

Open the 3D projection settings to see where your camera is actually pointing (provided you are in perspective mode).

In orthogonal mode you should be able to just use the fit in window command to see the object.

The alternative is to use the camera tool in the 2D view and place a camera on the floor plan with the desired attributes, then select this camera and view it in 3D.

thank you.
but i believe that is not the solution, i can still see my project when i am in orbit mode, though not when i am stillstanding in 3dmode..

but i will check out the camera settings also.

You are having video card problems, if the orbit is visible and the still view is not. Switch from the OpenGL view to the Internal engine to check - you will find it easiest by right clicking in the 3D window, and choosing 3D window settings - and if the slab is there and you can orbit (slower ...) in the Internal engine mode, then it is a quarrel between Archicad and your video card drivers. Concentrate on the OpenGL support.

thank you very much for your help, i have my model visible in the internal mode. and i will read myself into the open gl concepts and update and check my videocard drivers.
