If you don't want to mess with GDL...you could assign the line's pen color to one which prints the same as your background. Look under "Show Drawing Name" for the setting. Which title are you using?

A Custom title with an "omit the line" option would be better.

If you are referring to have a placed view without a title, select the view, right click for "Drawing selection settings", under the title "tab" choose none.

Thanks ejrolon.

I did not describe the problem very well. What I meant is the actual "line" accompanying the drawing title's text. It's not a matter of removing the entire title. I just want to remove the "line" entity.

From the Help file, under titles.

Create a New Title Type
In the Layout window, use the available 2D tools (e.g. lines, text blocks) to design a Title Type to fit your needs. Select the components of this new Title Type. Use File > Libraries and Objects > Save as Title Type to save this object. Once saved, your Title Type is available from the pop-up the Title panel of Drawing Settings.
Once saved, you can subsequently edit this custom-created Title Type graphically: Use File > Libraries and Objects > Open Object. From the directory dialog box, select the Title Type you want to edit. Click “2D Symbol” to access the graphical editing window for this object. Make your changes using 2D tools.
Note: Make sure the scale of the GDL 2D symbol window is set to 1:1, to make editing easier.

or if you know GDL Select a title that is already placed in the Layout Book go under File-> Libraries and Objects -> Open Object …

There you can edit the script and save the object with a new name.
