italian roof. problem with ridges and more...

hallo, i am new user of Archicad and i'm having a problem with roof accessories tool. i choose italian tiles for my roof but i can not achieve a roof like photo #1 but a roof like photo#2 (my photo). how can i have ridges with tiles like photo #1?
also, what can i do to make tiles seem normal and not as they are hanging (floating) in the air?
what i do wrong?
please help...

stra,
The floating problem can be fixed by changing the
roof surfacer settings parameter number five to zero.
You seem to have another problem. It looks like
there are several holes in the roof surfacer objects.
Are there holes in your roof or are you placing the
surfacer object without using the add-on ?
As far as I know there is no hip or ridge cap tile
in the AC library.
It would be helpful to know which version of AC you are using.

i use Archicad 9
there are no holes, there are just some tiles with another material that looks like that.

There is a setting for different material (random) inside the tiles accessories object. Also you can set the 3d option t detailed if you want to show the thickness of the tiles. But activating this may slow down your PC (too many polygons)
