I decided to make blank placeholder details in each file and then place them where the other ones are. I cropped them in plotmaker so I can see they are on top of it.

I guess it'll have to work

Thanks,

<T>We are working in version 9 & have 3 separate pln files. I made a detail in file #1 that I want to reference in the other files. I made a detail in file #1 then copied that detail marker to the other pln files. I was thinking the details would be looking for the detail name in plotmaker so that it would work fine. Only 1 detail is working in 2 pln files. Why doesn't this work all the time. I tried to redo it and still no luck. Any ideas?

Thanks,
Even in AC11, you can only refer to details that are either created in or placed on a layout in in the same file as the marker.
