Mondrian-like window wall??

Is there a remotely simple way to create a window wall with mullions like in a Mondrian painting?

and follow the bold note at the top of the page, in other words, all you need is steps 1 through 5 there. Very fast / easy.

When you draw your mullions for the custom window flat on the ground, you can use either the wall tool or the beam tool to create them, whichever is easier. Magic wand the space surrounded by your mullions with a thin slab to represent the glass.

Assign all materials to the elements before saving as an object.

Don't delete your modeling elements. Either do this in its own file, or simply select them all and 'save selection as module' to keep a backup copy of them outside of the project file, or place them all on a hidden layer reserved for such things. Then, if you need to modify your window, you just modify the original bits and save again.

I can't seem to get this to work on AC11...the dialogs from the tutorial aren't the same and when I try to simply select the objects and "Create new object from selection", I am stuck with them in the orientation they were created in...I remember doing this quite simply when I was using AC9 but no such luck for me on 11...

Ah nevermind...I realize what I was doing wrong. However, is there a way to do this so that it's just an object, not a window. What I am making is more or less a curtain wall, if you will.

And again I spoke too soon...I remember now more how to do it, got it figured out. I forgot you must first set the 3d projection view to whatever the object will be in plan view. Thanks!
