<T>I have my stair on the first floor but I would like a representation of it on the second floor, prefereably with arrow pointing down instead of up. I have story sensitivity on and 2d above home story active (with all its sub categories turned on). What else do I need to do to be able to see the stairs on the second flr?</T>

You must a least make sure the stair is set to display one storey above. But I don't think it will show the arrow going down if I remember correctly. I never liked the look of the standard arrow anyway and use 2D elements for this information. I just use the 3D stair to show the stair treads.

You might want to put your information in your signature as well so we know what OS and version of AC you are using.

Cheers,

If you have created your stai using "Create New Stair" as opposed to just using one right out of the library, then , when you are in the perameters of the stair tool you will be able to make it
1- Story Sensitive
2- Show on One Story Above
3- Up/Down Arrow ON

This will show the arrows correctly , and show the first floor and the second floor as you wish.
