Try using the 3D text object. You will have to insert each letter individually and rotate them to suit, but should do what you want.

<T>Hi,
I'm a Architectural Technologist student and am learning ArchiCAD after many years as a draughtsman using AutoCAD. I'm working on a project to block model the city centre of Liverpool. I'm trying to model the Radio City Tower. However spanning across the blue should be "Radio City 96.7" I have tried creating a custom material using a tif with the text on a blue background, however I cannot get the text to show as a single line. You can just make out the yellow dashes on the blue which in fact are tiny yellow writing, not matter what I do to scale in material editor I can not enlarge the text. Does anyone know what to do?
Thank you for your time,
i was going to say 3d text object but it dosnt seem to have the option to wrap it around a center point.. u *could* use 3d text and do 1 leter at a time then move each into place.. if u think about it, thats how it will be done in real life.

hope that helps

http://pagesperso-orange.fr/archilib.od/
This object arrays text in a curve and has
the capability to make multi-lined text.
Thank you, I not sure I deserve the compliment as i'm only on week 4 of learning, and experimenting. The hardest part has been walking around Liverpool guessing how tall the buildings are so I can make the slabs the right height, have only done a third and have walked miles already!!

I've tried adding the Liverpool 08 logo to the triangular slab on the tower, by creating a custom material and applying it, it does not work well as it repeats wrong and on the rear face it is mirrored. I've tried attaching a figure, which does not show in 3d and i'm at a loss of how to do it! Any ideas are greatly appreciated!

Thank you again for any help,
Rich

You can use the Picture object from the standard library to display an image of your Liverpool logo. The image needs to be loaded with your current Libraries, and then you put the name of the image into the Use Custom Picture field. (Turn off the frame to make it blend with surroundings, you can't have zero thickness picture unfortunately). Luckily it looks as though the logo is on a flat surface.

Another object downloadable from the Object Depository is the Parapicture (Parapic?) which also considers Alpha Channels for transparency where needed.
Wow, your model is evolving very nicely.
Thanks Erika,
The curtain tool seems to be teasing me, it's perfect for what I want, I created my cylindrical glass wall, great I thought until I noticed the slant tool was greyed out. It seems that you can only slant straight curtain walls, is this right or (hopefully) am I mistaken? I looked at ArchiGlazing but there is no ver 12 compatable addon yet
