<T>Hi, I have the student version of Archicad, and I tried installing Google Earth Connections, but I cannot find the Google Earth Connections sub-menu under File in Archicad. Is it not possible to use addons with the student version?</T>

ElinaH:

Maybe after installing the add-on, you need to go into the Work Environment and add the commands. Go to Work Environment > Command Layout Schemes > Menus: set List to All Commands by Theme, then scroll down to 17 Add-Ons > Google Earth In-Out > Google Earth Connections.

You should add a Signature to your Profile (click the Profile button near the top of this page) with your ArchiCAD version and operating system (see mine for an example) for more accurate help in this forum.
Alright, I checked there, but I didn't find any mention of Google Earth under 17 Add-Ons. Does it need to be installed in a specific place?

Hmm, I just checked under Add-On Manager and when I click on one of the Google Earth related Add-Ons, it says "The file is an outdated Add-On that cannot be used with this ArchiCAD version." I guess that just means it isn't compatible with the student version. What a shame.

Not necessarily. It might mean that you need to re-apply the latest patch to get it to work.
