<T>I would like to rotate a roof so that it is on a 45 degree slant /pitch from another roof that is at a 1 degree fall.
As per my attached rough sketch.

When I draw the 45 degree roof parallel with the flat roof one end is higher /lower than the other end because of the 1 degree pitch/fall

The 45 degree roof encompases /surrounds the flat 1 degree roof as shown.

Thanks

sorry can't seem to add an attachment (never done it before)</T>

To add an attachment, click on the "Browse" button (as shown bellow) and select your file.

And don't use the Add Attachment button, because the system doesn't allow more than one attachment to each posting. That button should be removed!

Should be no problem. Use the Trim command. Select one roof, command/ctrl - click on that edge of the other roof you want trimmed. Then select the other roof and trim the corresponding edge of the first. The edges will trim to each other.
(You might have to create a hole in the flat roof first, in plan roughly corresponding to the shape of the 45° roofs, so you have corresponding edges to trim everywhere.)

You can also use SEO (Solid Element Operations) but the results of those won't be visible in plan.

Both procedures are explained in Archicad's Help.

You could use one (thick) roof with a 1° slope... then use the "Roof Edge Tool" in the pet pallet to change each edge to a "custom" angle (135°).
