Hello

Several french user (using PC) trying to connect to the ArchiCAD East blog had report an alert about trojan horse virus.

Some fresh news about this site ?

My anti-virus also popped up when I went to this site back in the middle of February. I sent an email to support at ardent-inc dot com who seem to look after the site, but didn't receive a reply.

Funnily enough, I didn't feel like going back again to check if it had been fixed. Clearly it hasn't.

Andyro who occasionally posts on ArchiCAD-talk has a link to the site in his signature. I'll send him an PM now.

Yes, me too. My antivirus block trojan in iframe window.

Thanks for the head's up. Ardent is no longer supporting the site, and I haven't had any time to contribute to it. I have pulled the site for the moment, and may re-post content to my own site in the coming weeks, as well as add a bunch of new stuff for AC13. Sorry for any trouble the site may have caused, it's been collecting weeds from disuse.

Just a question - I didn't really think anyone was still looking at the site or using any of the stuff - is tehre anything that has been of particular benefit - that I should focus on updating? Such as electrigon? Or the ACE library? If I invest new time into maintaining these projects, I'd rather focus on updating one or two of the more useful ones... thoughts?

Is there any way to load the ACE library in AC faster? It takes some time to load it completely. It is fantastic though.

The ACE library is a great collection of objects but I don't need all of them.
I have not had any luck in the past extracting the LCF file.
Has anyone succeeded in doing this?

Hello Barry

The new link will give you access to a torrent, if you download it you will get a library in "folder" and not in lcf that you could manage as you want.

When I tried to find/download from this link all I got was this nasty "title bar" installed on my desktop when I deliberately said NO to it.

I got the torrent to download - only took about 3 hours!
But guess what - the file is still an LCF.
So back to square one.

Sadly, Andy has said that it's probably never going to be possible to extract the library container on Windows because of special characters which we PC guys can't handle. 😉

Yes that is sad.
Because I just got the lcf to re-download.
(I think I screewwed it up the first time and got funky bar in browser.)
It would be nice if could strip out all the duplicates, but that is probably
beyond my capabilities anyway.
The lcf does work ok in 14 for the most part it seems.
Isn't it that the doors and windows are not sensitive to some new functions in 12?
Only took about 15 minutes to download zip of lcf. which was nice.
Wonder why it took Barry three hours??
