Roofmaker is an overseas tool with different terminology to us. It doesn't do "Purlins" in our sense. (No in answer to your question) That is why we get all the Cadimage Tools free to bring Archicad up to something useable. If you intend to further your occupation after graduating, most employers in NZ will be using the Cadimage tools, so now is the best time to learn to use them.

<R>My question is similar to this from a previous post but it has not yet been answered. Was wondering if anyone could shed any light on this?

<LINK_TEXT text="http://archicad-talk.graphisoft.com/vie ... bf30b6bcb4">http://archicad-talk.graphisoft.com/viewtopic.php?t=952&view=previous&sid=e6c8ff5d39216ce0d505e6bf30b6bcb4</LINK_TEXT>

I created a purlin with the RoofMaker wizard then multiplied it by spread.

However, it doesn't stay on the rafters - is there a quick and easy way to ensure the are attached on the rafters rather than having to adjust each individual way manually?

I feel like there is an obvious solution to this.</R>

Ah, thanks for letting me know. I wasn't aware of that.

Have now been looking into the Cadimage tools and am in the process of getting a student membership on the ARCHICADselect.com site.

Cheers for that
