topic Zones with reference line construction method in Modeling

<T>Hi!
I have a really large project with hundreds of zones. I have done them all with inner edge construction method because they are going to be used for quantity take-off for each space.
Now, all the other consultants have realised that they can use this information to do energy balance calculations, but they do not want any "holes" between the zones. Ideally, the zones should go to the middle of every wall, but the reference line is not in the middle of all my walls. As a compromise, I thought I could just mark all the zones and change the construction method to the reference line.
I did that and updated but nothing changed. I tried to do a brand new zone with the reference line construction method. I got the exact same result as the inner edge method.
Why won't the reference line method work? What am I doing wrong?
Cheers,
