okay, that went much smoother. I need to fiddle with it a little bit. I think I need to set my scheme width to 7-2 1/2 and center the boundary frame on the grid to get 3 equal. Otherwise the middle section is a little wider than the others.

Thanks. I'm much less annoyed now!

<T>I'm finally in the land of curtain walls, having jumped from v11 to v14. I've seen a lot of videos and questions about complex curtain wall making, but I'm looking for something simple.

It seems like the tool would be great for making screen porches. But I'm going crazy.

In the attached image, I've made a screen porch wall with walls (screen), beams & columns (both a complex profile 2x4). It's 7'4" x 7'1 1/2". Divided by three and then the lower parts divided in half. I don't know or care exactly what the divisions are. I just want 3 equals. Is there a simple way to set equal divisions with the curtain wall tool? 7'4"/3 doesn't divide into a pretty number I can input.

I'd much rather use what feels like the proper tool than my jury-rigged solution.

Thanks.</T>

Set your panel SCHEME width to the overall you wanted 7'-4"
Then set your division snap points to thirds and draw in the vertical frame members.

I agree, always let the program do the math.
