i think i'm coming close to solve this problem.
when i open/reset a new ac drawing, there is zone identifier 2 14 but when i opened my current drawing [ using the AMT ] , there is REA_ZONE r4 which has no 'SHOW AREA' and other fields. I tried to clean up / reload AC 14 library but i think i have just made it worse. what can i do to have an absolute clean up! I'm desperate !

<T>The stamp will only seem to appear on the View Map / Floor Plan ..I tried to have it place on the Area Cal Plan but only the fill shows up but not the stamp. Why ?

The other question is : what do i have to do to get the Area show up in the stamp ?</T>

Did you turn on the "Show Area" option in your Zone Stamp tab? I don't have archicad with me to post screenshot for you but its explained in this video

You can read more about Model View options that Vistap was mentioning earlier here and here, although I don't think it will affect the display of Zone area .

Llian, you might want to read James Murray's excellent page on Zones. In fact, whenever you get a chance, go through as many pages of the site as you can. There will often be references to custom objects that you can't download (developed in-house for his own firm) but the knowledge you'll gain is still invaluable.

Can't speak for the Applecore supplied zone stamp but the default ones should work as intended. Surprising if they've left out something as fundamental as the area, though.

You seem to have your AC-14 library loaded twice? Regardless, I think your problem stems from not being able to change the stamp itself.

Go to :: Options > Element Attributes > Zone Categories and you will get the dialog box attached below (taken from the help files BTW). You will need to change the stamp for <S></S>each<E></E> of your zone categories. I hope for your sake there aren't too many.
