topic Modelling and Drafting on 18 story building in Modeling

<T>I am working on putting together a 3D model and set up for drafting on a 17 story residential tower. Since the floor plans are fairly repetitive (3-5 the same, 6-11 the same, 12-17 the same) I would like to know the best way to set up the stories for the model. Is there a way to do this without drawings the floor plan 17 times and still show up on every level of the model? Can you link floors so if you change one it repeats above?

Basically what is the best set up for a tower project?</T>

Have a look into 'Hot linked modules'

for the sake of not repeating lot's of previous discussions; there's plenty of information here if you do a search or have a look at the ArchiCAD reference guide.

yes , this is the answer,

use 3 hotlink module files for that 3 type of floor

but the master file will be still so huge.

you can also have nested modules. For example there might be 5 different residential units. Quantity and arrangement of each unit type could vary per floor module type.
