Stair and MESH SEO

It seems impossible to subtract with upwards extrusion a mesh with a stair.
I am using the mesh as a target and the stair as operator but nothing happens!!!!

The mesh is solid and the stair too. The Cadimage stairs work just fine. The problem happens only with the archicad stairs.

Archicad 16 Mac can do it just fine. But if it can't be done because of some weird mojo with your stair element, put a slab under your stair for the SEO.

This is a straight stair I am using. The simplest one.
I even reinstalled archicad from the beginning without hotfixes!!!!!

I copied a stair from the 15 edition and paste it in 16 and it works just fine.
This is the strangest thing I ever saw. I gues it has to do with the apx of stairmaker if it is not something in teh registry. I hope format is not an anwser

I CAN DO DOWNWARDS EXTRUSION BUT i CANNOT DO UPWARDS EXTRUSION. I reinstalled the 16 version and run in demo mode without hotfixes and the problem is still there..................

No Dwight it is not group. Any other object will do the work. It is like the stair is not functioning a s a solid element any more.

If it can do a downward extrusion but not an upward one then I would suspect it has something to do with the relative position of the stair and the base height of the mesh.

I recall a similar problem with beams not operating properly even though they touched in 3D.

You are right Barry.
If I start moving the mesh upwards for a strange reason the subtraction appears but I have to elevate the mesh higher than the stair.

I cannot understand why this is happening. The 15 didn't have that problem.

Here is a picture. The stair is 100% inside the mesh, the extraction is applied but the 3d is incorrect and also the section.
