Modeling the landing separately is the easiest way for modeling purposes, but the floorplan would not correlate. I thought I would throw this question out in case anyone had come across this issue before.

<DIV class="actalk-migrated-content"><T>I am trying to create a residential wood stair with a landing as the first stair. The first stair has a 90 degree turn from the rest of the run. 3'-6" wide stair - 4'-0" wide landing (if possible in a perfect world) floor to floor= 9'-1". From what I can find, the minimum number of risers you can have for a run is 2 (one stair tread - two risers - then the landing). Any help with this would be appreciated.</T></DIV>

The easiest way to handle it is to model the landing with slabs and then just start the stair from there.
