where do I locate the "pet pallet"?

I am using the educational version of archicad 11 for mac and I am trying to teach myself via the tutorial I downloaded. I am up to the step where you subtract one slab from another but for the life of me I cannot find this mythical "pet pallet" can someone please explain in detail as to where it can be found?

In what way do you want to "subtract" one slab from another? Please expand or show a screen shot.

Archicad version and OS is good, but put this info in a signature for future reference (profile link top of page)

Amos,

Select the first slab (from which you want to subtract some part), then mouse-down on either an edge (mercedes) or a hotstpot (check mark), and the pet palette will appear. You'll see the polygon subtract button in the right part of the top row.

Pretty much the same pet palette options for all polygonal elements.
