<T>I recently upgraded to Archicad 14 from 9 and I was drawing a second level floor plan today and noticed that my walls where not shaded on the floor plan like they are on the first level. I also noticed that after I dropped the windows in they would disappear. They still displayed in the elevations and in 3D but they do show up on the second level floor plans. I am layers on both levels,,,,,What happened?</T>

Roger,
You need to make sure your floor plan cut planes (Document Menu > Floor Plan Cut Plane) are relative to your wall heights.

You can read more about it here

The settings are the same as the main level. The "cut plane height to currant story " is at 4' and the bottom of my window is at 2'. IF I am understanding it correctly,,, should put it through the window. I also checked to make sure they are both on the same "model View",,,, which the are. Like I said earlier not only have the windows disappeared but there is no fill in the walls

Roger:

One thing to check is that the Floor Plan Display for both the Walls and Windows is set to Symbolic Cut, which will ignore the Floor Plan Cut Plane. This is the simplest way to manage the display of these elements.

You should add a Signature to your Profile (click the Profile button near the top of this page) with your ArchiCAD version and operating system (see mine for an example) for more accurate help in this forum.
Changing the Walls Floor Plan Display to Symbolic did the trick. Thank You Even though I have been using Archicad for about 5 years now, I am not an everyday user and there is SOOOOO much this program can do that I am unaware of. Thank you again for everyones help!
