Hi there,
I'm guessing you may have a problem with either the graphics card drivers, or with AC16 after the upgrade.
Can you run your latest Hotfix? that will overwrite some of the files on AC folder... and maybe solve the problem.
If that doesn't help, re-install AC from scratch and then upgrade to your latest Hotfix.

I hope this helps.

Regards

<T>I'm new to the forum and also do not speak English very well, so what you see written comes from the use of google translator.
The problem I found with AC 16 Hotfix 3 installed on Mac Pro early 2008 processor 2x2, 8 GHz Quad-Core Intel Xeon, ATI Radeon HD 2600 XT 256MB and OS X 10.8.3 (12D78), and that after OS updated with the latest aggiornamnto proposed by Apple (14 March 2013), when I run the model in 3D using the OpenGL engine, the dialog will not let me see anything, even though the modeling is performed. In fact, if, again from the 3D modeling of the gearbox the engine from OpenGL to internal engine, see my project. I tried repeatedly topics but I could not find answers. I state that I have already made the change file com.graphisoft.AC-64 16.0.0 ENG v1 app via Pref Setter, but I solved the problem.
I kindly ask if someone can help me.
thanks</T>

I agree with Nando's suggestions, but cannot reproduce your issue since while I have the same early 2008 Mac Pro that you have, I replaced the Radeon 2600 card some time ago, and I suspect the issue may be related to limitations of that old card.

Do you have other OpenGL applications and do that work properly?

If you select just a single wall, and show only it in 3D - can you see it? If you marquee a small section of the project? Or start a fresh project and create a single wall with no texture on it, just a color - can you see it?

If you can see a single wall, or a marquee area, but not the whole project, then the issue could be something in your project file itself, or the limitations of the 256MB Radeon 2600... Officially, Graphisoft says that the specs of that card are sufficient, though.
I had a similar problem with 3d graphics on a 2008 Mac Pro - replaced the 2600 with a 5770 graphics card (from Apple Online Store) and that completely solved the problem.
I've been having a similar problem in 16 on both my MacPro (also 2008 dual 2.8GHz but with new video card) and my MacBookPro (Fall 2021, the last 17").

In my case the 3D window goes blank when I initiate a command such as drag, rotate, etc using the keyboard. I still get the smart cursor but I can't see what I'm clicking on. Once I make the first click the window is instantly redrawn and I can see and work with the 3D model normally. I've posted about this earlier but there's no resolution as yet that I am aware of.

This does not happen in all my files. But it is happening in both files I am using on one project that include IFC imports from Revit.

I solved my problem.
After some changes in the settings related to 3D modeling, in the window: Options> Work Environment> Advanced Options Redraw, I disabled the option "Open GL 3D Antialiasing". 3D modeling with Open GL engine has once again worked.
Thanks to the staff and to partecipaneti the Forum.
Just spent a while with the same problem. Somehow problem seems to be relating to the 3D-window size. You can make 3D-window in a smaller size (400x300) and after creating the 3D-model, resize it until certain point without problems. This was tested with iMac late 2009 (ATI with 256Mb). Any ideas in base of this?
