Of course, my Floor Plan Cut Plane Settings were to blame.

The settings for the story below were "offset 9' " which overlapped the 4' height setting for the current story clip plane.

It occurred because I began the project from a template created from a previous project that had a basement rather than a slab-on-grade foundation.

Hope this helps anyone else with similar difficulties.
AC13 window / door placement issue

<T>I'm having trouble with the windows and doors not appearing in plan view because they move to an inproper story upon placement.

For example, on windows I'm placing on the ground level plan, they place themselves on the foundation plan two feet below, and are not visible in plan view on the Ground Plan.

I assign the object to the current story in advance of placement and it still jumps to storeys above. I have also tried assigning them to a specified story (e.g. 1.Ground Level).

This occurs in walls in which the bottom of wall aligns with the story in question. It also occurs with standard windows and doors from the ArchiCAD 11, 12 and 13 libraries.

Gravity is turned off (and should not affect 2D plan view anyway, right?)

Please advise if anyone is experiencing this difficulty and / or has a fix.

Many thanks,

B.S.</T>
