Are you using a material that has a vectorial Hatching applied to it? If not, open the material you want, make a copy of it and choose a vectorial hatch.

You may want to check your available cut fills.

One more thing to check is the settings in the actual "Section Settings" dialog...

Be sure that "Uniform Pens for Cut Elements" is unchecked under "Cut Elements" in the "Model Display" tab.

If checked, this option overrides the individual element cut appearance settings.

In the model view options combinations (Document/Set Model View) there is an option to override fills, cover fills and cut fills. You mitgh have checked this one.
Otherwise, if you have the trace on, you can hace set the trace to transparant fills and zones.

If this is not it, also post a screenshot of your section.
