<T>Hi
Ive been playing around with Google Earth connection and Sketchup and have managed to get my AC models uploaded to GE as I want them.

Now Im wondering if its possible to import a GE 3D landscape into Archicad as a mesh or object.

Does anyone know if and how this is possible. Ive tried inmporting from Sketchup as a Sketchup model and a GE file, neithe rof wich works

Thanks</T>

the google earth connnection also gives you an option under "merge" to import .skp(sketchup) and .kmz google earth files. Give that a shot and see if you can get it to work.

another thing I've done is to use the 3ds add on to enable .3ds importing. Sketchup pro can export models as 3ds which can then be imported to archicad as objects.

ultimately, google earth contours are so low that I hardly find them to be very useful in archicad. You can probably get a better product by making a mesh using the google earth contours as a guide.
