Ctrl+U works before you move it. press Z works after you move it up a little.

I think Crtl+U is what would work best for what I think you are trying to do.

<T>Hi

I want to do a very simple command
I have a slab in 00 elevation
and I wish to "move+copy" it in 3d view vetically so I
will have the height parameters to insert accurately....

Why it is so difficult to do??</T>

your post is in the wrong catagory.

It is easy. When you are moving the slab virtical press the letter Z, D,X, Y, R etc... and a pop up menu will open. use the arrow key to move your cursur to where you want to enter the new dimension, angle, story, etc....

Ctrl+U will open the Multiply menu which is probably just what you want.
Choose the Elevate action. Type in the vertical spacing you want and select the vertical displacement option you want. Probably Spread.

Then move your mouse up and it will copy a slab that vertical distance as many times as you like.

you can try edit - move - multiply

also this only works in plan view or 3D, not elevation or section
