Was wondering if others are experiencing longer re-draw in the 3d window than in ac14... seems like the shift to 64bit would make ac15 move through this faster. Migrated a test project over and so far working in the new program in 3d is slower than in version 14.

current slowness is in 3d placement of beams, processing runs about twice as long as when it was in ac14.

sad. maybe it's 10.6.8 being stupid, who knows... anyone else?

AC15 under OSX 10.6.8
2.8ghz i7 imac, 12gb ram
(should be screaming though this kind of stuff)

I have 14 models that run perfectly smooth in 14. When I take them to 15, I cannot even rotate around them.
I've have observed NO noticeable speed improvements from 64 bit whatsoever.

I will likely be going back to 14 as it is faster and more stable.

Interesting. I'm seeing faster performance in all cases.

Launch time for a small model is 27 seconds vs 31 seconds; open a 3D view is 3 seconds vs 5 seconds. 3D window completely fluid.

Maybe it is related to the amount of memory I have and/or that I installed a more powerful graphics card a few months ago. Just opened a variety of files and all open and act snappy.

Both of your machines have plenty of memory and should be flying. Strange.

Cheers,
A couple of things

In AC15, any existing projects brought over from AC14 lose my custom master sheets for layouts, they all revert back to vanilla AC mastersheets. Does this mean I have to reapply my custom master layouts to every existing project??

Drawing an elipse, beyond a certain size (over 50 metres) the elipse does not display properly, made up of straight edges instead of curved.
