<T>In a project we want to make an 2D projection of an elevation with texture.

I make an axonometry view of our elevation, with parallel projection settings x;y;z = 0;90;0.
Now I save the view as an 3D window (Generate as 3D window, no photo rendering).

In our final layout we also want some dimensions, lines and text.
Now I make an second view with only the lines, dimensions and text and put it on top of my 3D view on a layout.

Is it possible to put lines, dimensions and text in a 3D view without losing texture?</T>

Hi,

Try 3D Document !

set the 3d view (parallel or perspective) right click Capture window for 3D Document - save it

You can use dimensioning, labels and the other documentation tools

In the native form it doesn't keep the texture you applied on the 3d model, only the Vectorial 3d Hatching of the material.

If you want you can apply some image fills over the surfaces.

Regards, Ede

This one you want, can be done also in the story view with image fills in case you have AC 14 or 15!

My tips are valid only for AC run under Windows OS !

Please make a signature with the OS and AC version, as you can see below!

Thanks for your method. I have considered this method.

This is like my current method, a complicated manner.
Again I must perform various operations for the final result.
If adjustments are made, my textures again have to be adjusted or aligned.
