In fact, there's no need to rename at all.

I save profiles only for regular / repetitive use, f.e. wall base type 1.
Call it a base type if you like.

Then I use Capture Profile Of Selection (= editable) to have modifications to one or more placed in model > Apply to Selection > quit. No store.

<T>I had two parallel composite walls that I combined using the "merge walls" option. It looks like this then creates one complex profile wall called "custom profile," but when I go into the profile manager to edit it, custom profile exists, but it's blank.

Does using the "merge walls" option remove your ability to edit the complex profile created?

Thanks!</T>

Is the custom profile selected in plan, section, ... and then choose Design > Complex Profiles > Capture Profile Of Selection... ?

ok...

so it looks like if i use "capture profile of selection,"
then save this profile as *name*,
THEN apply *name* profile to the wall that i "captured" it from,
i'll then have an editable profile.

thanks!
