<T>I'm working in AC9 (2045) with AC9 library SE.

Things seemed to be going fine, but all of a sudden the windows started giving me the degenerated polygon routine. Sometimes that will occur on a object and I wll continue on and ignore it.

This time virtually all of the windows seem to be affected. The windows show up in plan, but have a black dot in the middle, similar to the ones you get when the library part cannot be found.

Tried reloading the library and a new and reset to no avail. By the way, how do you do a new and reset and not lose keyboard shortcuts etc.?

I had previously installed update 2172, but it just made everything freeze up even with a clean install.

I need those elevations............!

thanks,
So I fixed my problem-at least I think so.

I had adjusted the "rough opening extra" horizontal and vertical from the apparent default value of 1 3/4" to 0". I don't know how everyone else works, but for most typical residential windows I specify the window size and it's up to the framer to determine the rough. This will vary depending on the window manufacturer also. In plan, I just want to see the window.

Well, apparently if you set the rough opening to 0" it shows up as degenerated polygons during rendering. Is this a bug or a feature?

What a pain..........

Don,

I don't know if this is the same in the SE Lib. but in the regular 9 lib there is a setting under Options to turn Rough Opening Off or On. If you use this you should be able to leave the default settings and still show nominal sizing for your doors or windows. ( See Attached )

Gerald:

Thanks for the reply. I checked AC9SE and the rough opening turn-off option is not there. There is something called "lining" though. Not sure what that is....
